2. Accepting the terms of use

Use of this website is subject to compliance with the general terms and conditions set out below. When you visit this website, you confirm that you are aware of and have accepted without reserve the latest version of the general terms and conditions of use.

3. Purpose of the website

The aim of this website is to present SOFICO, its missions, its completed projects and the activities it is developing in association with its missions. It is also designed to communicate information with respect to the various infrastructure projects completed on the network, along with all the latest SOFICO mission’s news. The SOFICO website also contains full information about the per-kilometre charge which it introduced on 1April 2016. The website also allows users to search for SOFICO general contact details.

The SOFICO website is not the place for reporting highway impairments or problems with any of the infrastructure managed by SOFICO. To report a pothole, a crack, pavement heaving or any other impairment, you need to send an email to Wallonia’s Civil Service (SPW), SOFICO’s technical partner, at com.dgo1@spw.wallonie.be.

Neither does the SOFICO website handle complaints regarding damage suffered on the roads and motorways network managed by SOFICO. The process for making a complaint or claiming damage can be found under the ‘Disputes’ tab of this website.

4. Obligation of means

SOFICO agrees to undertake everything in its power to allow visitors to its website optimal use of the services offered, but has no obligation of means.

SOFICO accepts no liability for the publication of incomplete, incorrect or outdated information.

5. Responsibility

SOFICO accepts no responsibility in the event of complaints with respect to the condition of the road network or notifications via its website of damage suffered in this network that do not follow the procedures described in point 3 below.

SOFICO accepts no responsibility for direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of its website.

SOFICO accepts no responsibility for any damage suffered by users of its website after they have entered confidential or delicate information.

SOFICO accepts no responsibility in the event of the technical failure of IT systems or communication channels.

SOFICO accepts no responsibility for events resulting from a system over which SOFICO has no effective control, including all events which originate upstream or downstream of the SOFICO website, in particular access to the internet network.

Availability of the SOFICO website may be disrupted for control, maintenance or overload reasons, or any other instance of force majeure outside the control of SOFICO.

6. Hypertext links

SOFICO allows surface linking to be created without prior authorisation which directs users to the Site’s homepage or any other complete page. However, all techniques intended to include all or a part of the portal site on a website while masking, even partially, the exact origin of the information or techniques such as framing or in-lining which may lead to confusion about the origin of the information, require prior written authorisation. All these elements are the property of SOFICO or, where applicable, a third party from which SOFICO has obtained the necessary authorisations. Unless stipulated otherwise, written or numerical information appearing on the website may be used at no cost provided the source is quoted, and the information is not used for commercial or publicity purposes. However, the reproduction of this information for commercial or publicity purposes, as well as all forms of use and reproduction of other component parts of the website, such as the graphic design, images, sounds or software applications, are strictly prohibited without prior written authorisation. 8. Applicable law – competent courts

All disputes in relation to the use of this website are governed solely by Belgian law and the courts of Liège are solely competent.
